Sheyahshe is an enrolled member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, a published author, and co-host of the We Are Resilient podcast with Osh. A resilient domestic violence survivor, she uses her lived experience to bring a deeper understanding to the crisis of Missing and Murdered Indigenous People (MMIP). Her advocacy highlights the ways domestic violence and systemic failures contribute to the MMIP epidemic, bringing a powerful survivor’s perspective to each story shared.

Her writing has been published in National Geographic, and she is also a children’s book author, using storytelling to empower and uplift Indigenous communities. Through both her published works and her podcast, Sheyahshe brings empathy, advocacy, and truth-telling to the forefront. Her storytelling is driven by lived experience, deep research, and a commitment to breaking harmful cycles that impact Indigenous communities nationwide.
